Worksh

Wedding planning is going very well. And very fast. It's very possible to plan a wedding in 3 months. I bought my dress yesterday and it just so happens that my Mom found a dress she likes at the same place so she bought hers too.

I'm getting pretty frustrated at work. It's weird calling it work because it's at someone's house taking care of their baby, but anyway...

I've been working with this family since December. From the get-go the Mom has mentioned things about taking the baby out and how they might need me to meet them at the doctor or whatever sometimes. That's cool. Well, it's been 3 months and I've been sitting in their house 38 hours a week with the baby and we're both getting really bored. He's 5 months old so he's not stimulated by his normal toys anymore. I asked the Mom if I could take him out somewhere a few times a week to the mall, or whatever. Just to get him out into different surroundings. She was totally ok with it and said they have an extra car seat for me and all that. A few days later she hadn't given it to me so I asked her about it. She said that she has to talk to her husband to "see what his comfort level is" first. Still, no problem. I know the Dad loves me and thinks I'm really great with the baby so I know he won't have a problem with it. Well, it's been a week and I've still heard nothing more about it. I'M GOING CRAZY! Maybe she just hasn't asked him....maybe she has changed her mind and is worried about me taking him out now....I have no idea. I'm getting tired though.

There's another thing about tax stuff too. She's supposed to check on something with her flex account and get back to me and I haven't heard anything else about that either. She can't be that busy, can she?

It's all just getting to be a little too much work for the money. I took a huge pay cut, less vacation, and no insurance to have a job where I can have a little more freedom and it's coming back to bite me in the butt. I hate to have to leave this job because I've become attached to the baby but I don't know if I can do it anymore.

Hopefully it'll get better soon, but if not then I'm gonna start looking for something else. Maybe I'll work for the Gwinnett Braves.

Planning a wedding in 3 months is totally possible. That's what we did. The September before we got married we decided to get married 7months early and have it in December. So exciting to have a dress! That makes it really real! I'm sorry this mom is a slacker, it's no fun having to tell someone you are leaving. Happy job hunting when you start looking!
